AEP x DH Summer 2024

We're back from Dreamhack Summer 2024! This time, we had the honor of collaborating with Save the Children (Rädda Barnen) and Länsförsäkringar, enriching the event with our shared vision of empowering gamers and their families.

At our booth, visitors engaged with interactive games designed to simulate high-pressure scenarios, enhance communication skills, foster self-compassion, and increase awareness of controllable factors. These activities, rooted in sports psychology, are tailored specifically for gamers. We also hosted many joyful stretch and movement sessions, promoting physical well-being and sustainable gaming practices.

In partnership with Rädda Barnen, we developed a pamphlet for parents and guardians. This resource provides valuable insights into nurturing young gamers, understanding the opportunities and challenges of gaming, and recognizing potential pitfalls. We offered tips on how to create healthy gaming habits, emphasizing balance and mental well-being. Our goal is to equip adults with the knowledge to better connect with and guide their children in the gaming world.

We also proudly promoted the "spelaroll.nu" initiative, a collaborative project by Länsförsäkringar and Rädda Barnen. This initiative emphasizes safe and responsible gaming, encourages positive behavior, and cultivates a caring community. By highlighting the importance of a safe gaming environment, Spelaroll aligns perfectly with our mission at AEP.

Dreamhack Summer 2024 was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the gaming community, share our expertise, and collaborate with like-minded organizations. We're grateful for the chance to demonstrate the value we bring to events and look forward to continuing our work in empowering gamers and enhancing their mental well-being.
